You will seriously have to look at what you put into your body in the way of nutrition.  Diet is a major contributing factor. Not just food intake alone, but drinking sugary drinks, (diet sodas) and alcohol. Even drugs, illegal and prescription may contain chemicals that include or mimic estrogen.

Estrogen is a naturally occurring hormone in the body but if it becomes dominant in males it can feminize men and cause a lot of havoc. Like every hormone, we need balance.

I am not telling you to stop taking your prescribed medication.  You need to discuss this with your doctor.  These all can contribute to fat producing hormones making it almost impossible to lose man boobs.

In this day and age most of the population is estrogen dominant.  We are ingesting estrogen dominant foods and along with the contributing environmental toxins our bodies are going into overload.

So what are we to do?  First things first.  We need to change your diet.  This may sound easier than it actually is because you will have to fore-go your favorites in order to boost your testosterone levels.  Testosterone is the manly hormone.

Stop drinking alcohol and coffee.  Or radically cut down. Coffee mimics estrogen in the body and of course contributes to estrogen dominance.  Drink green tea instead.

It’s far healthier for you. My husband was also a coffee fanatic and found this to be a great way to level off the caffeine cravings.  You will also find if you cut down on coffee your energy levels will become more even.

  • Stop using drugs, meaning pot, weed, marijuana and also steroids.
  • Take more zinc and vitamin C.
  • Exercise, especially weight training exercises.
  • Avoid xenoestrogens – what are these?  They are man made estrogens such as pesticides, steroids, air fresheners and plastic containers and don’t use plastic wrap on food in a micro-wave.
  • Try to eat organic whenever possible and any meat you eat needs to be free of hormones.
  • Do not use perfumes, colognes and beware of skin products which contain parabens.  Parabens are xenoestrogens also and can be in shampoos, soap and washing detergent.
  • Try to get a decent amount of sleep every night.  I’m talking about 7-9 hours of sleep.
  • And yes try not to stress; stress raises cortisol levels which contribute to fat!

Don’t try and do everything at once, it might be slightly overwhelming and you will not be able to maintain it.  Take one or two things and gradually introduce or decrease into your lifestyle.
